Go To Sleep, Groundhog!

Maddie G. is back to share another picture book with you!

Hello again, this is Madison G. Here is a little bit about the book Go To Sleep, Groundhog! A groundhog set his clock for February 2nd. He tossed and he turned and he couldn't go to seep!

He went on a little walk and saw things he never saw before. A  witch flew down and said "What are you doing up? It's almost winter". She took him home, tucked him in, read him a ghost story and gave him a glass of apple cider.

Then he went for a walk in December and saw things he never saw before. Santa flew down and said "What are you doing up? You should be in bed! Winter is here". Santa took him home, read him a Christmas story and gave him a cookie with a glass of milk.

Then his clock rang...it's February 2nd! He yawned and stretched and tumbled out of his burrow.

Do you think he saw his shadow? Read this book and your school library to find out! And that's a little bit about Go to Sleep Groundhog. It's a great story!

Thanks for reading my book report!

Animals Underground: Chipmunks.

Cassidy checked out and read a Non-Fiction book from the library called Animals Underground: Chipmunks. She learned all about chipmunk, which are cute furry rodents. Read what she learned and then check this book out for yourself for more chipmunk facts!

Hi, I'm Cassidy, I'm in 5th grade in Mrs. Wyatt's Army! Here are some cool facts about Chipmunks...enjoy!

Did you know that there's only one kind of chipmunk that lives and Asia and the rest live in North America? Seeds and nuts are the chipmunks main foods. Chipmunks have underground chambers and rooms. That is a short summary of the book Animals Underground: Chipmunks.  If you liked it you should consider reading this book! You'll learn about how they live life in the forest while being small and fragile.

Love,
Cassie

Esio Trot Review by Sydney

A big thanks to Sydney for her review of this Roald Dahl book! We currently do not have a copy, but I am convinced that we need one for the library, so be on the lookout for Esio Trot in your library in the coming months!

Esio Trot is a very good book! It is about a tortoise named Alfie and his owner Mrs. Silver. Mr. Hoppy, upstairs from Mrs. Silver, loves her dearly but she is too focused on her tortoise, Alfie.

What will Mr. Hoppy have to do to get Mrs. Silver to like him? Read Esio Trot and find out!

Thank you for reading! Hope you like my post on Esio Trot!

Have you ever wanted a book with adventure, mystery and one that is super fun? Well then come to the school library check out Wiley and Grandpa's Creature Features: Curse of the Kitty Litter by Kirk Scroggs!

It all starts out when Grampa gets a phone call from Bad Table Manor. They had very bad news. Grampa's 4th cousin passed away. He left something in his will for Grampa.

The next day they go to Bad Table Manor. The Maid said "If you stay the night in this place, you get what you came here for"...they accepted. A couple of days later Merle, the family cat, enters a cat show.

Will they make it through the night? Will Merle win the cat show or will it all go wrong?

I hope you enjoy my book review and hope you check out this book!

Abby, Mr. Bauer's 4th Grade Class

Hello! My name is Madison and I’m a fifth grader here at Pride Elementary School.
Here is a little bit about the book The Littlest Owl by Caroline Pitcher and Tina Macnaughton.
There were four white owl eggs. Three of them hatched and when the fourth one hatched, he was smaller than the other three and he was white as snow. His brothers and sisters said he was too small and short. Everyone else was trying to learn how to fly and he just sat in the nest. While they were sleeping he was trying to teach himself how to fly. He got tired and went to the nest and fell asleep. The wind started to pick up and the tree that the nest was in was really old so their mom told them to wake up because the tree was going to crack in two.
Do you think he will make it out in time? Read this story to find out!

I like this story because it is cute and I love baby owls! And that is a little bit about The Littlest Owl.
